Read. Reign. Repeat.

Viscount in Love by Eloisa James

Queen B’s Decree: Man, I ate this one up. Viscount in Love was an impulsive read, after I last minute joined a readalong. And I’m so glad I did.

Historical romance is my OG bread and butter. It was one of the first genre I really dug into, and thus, I still have a very nostalgic love for the genre. And Eloisa James was one of my favorites from that era of my life. Reading Viscount in Love, I was reminded how she magically is able to make me ignore red flags and somehow fall in love with all the characters.

Torie was the most amazing heroine. She has a disability (unable to read) but she never lets it stop her from living her life to the fullest. She loves with her whole heart and makes everyone around her fall for her. Strong, a bit stubborn, with a strong sense of self, she was the perfect heroine for this story. Dom cannot compare to her, honestly. And yet, I still have faith and believe in him; that he will make amends and become the best he can be.

After Torie, the second best part of this story was the twins, Valentine and Florence. They had such character and life; I loved them so much.

Eloisa James somehow has the ability to write exceptionally flawed characters that you still root for, every time. And you’re laughing and smiling throughout the read, despite everything.
