Queen B’s Decree: Charmer is the first in a newly edited and rereleased small town series. You may be wondering “Queen B, this is a second chance romance, what were you thinking when you signed up for this?” Well Dear Reader, Brighton Walsh has never let me down so I bravely read this dreaded trope.
Finn left their small town 10 years ago with no word to Willow. Willow has ‘moved on,’ but her heart doesn’t remember the hurt when Finn rolls back into town. I loved the push and pull between them. Finn doing all he can to show he’s trustworthy with her heart, Willow doing all she can to resist him.
The southern small town they live in felt so vibrant. I could almost picture myself on Main Street. The side characters all had so much life, I especially loved Willow’s sisters (Mack, you da MVP).
I only wished for a bit more ✨grovel✨ from Finn. While I do feel like he adored and did so much for Willow…the revenge monster inside of me needed a little bit more.
And now I’m off to start the next in the series!
