Queen B’s Decree: I was apprehensive at the beginning of this one—Hazel was clearly depressed and felt like a bit of a hot mess. But once the story started rolling and Hazel moved to the Pennsylvania small town, I couldn’t stop listening.
Cam is so grumpy and oh my god do I love his family. Everyone is so supportive and loving and yet they tease the shit out of each other. It’s my favorite kind of family. And watching Hazel get her groove back and rediscover herself was wonderful.
Story of My Life was funny and hilarious and filled with the right amount of side characters and hijinks. But the romance and the steam didn’t feel overshadowed by it. It was just the right amount. The chemistry between Cam and Hazel was fire and I loved listening to these two ignore the obvious signs of falling in love.
This was the kind of small town romcom I needed in my life and I can’t wait for more in the series.
