Queen B’s Decree: Opal is a fae that is supposedly shaede-less, living in the human world and learning about their culture before she’s to return home. It kind of reminds me of Mormons…except without the proselytizing. And she’s the weird one that doesn’t fit in.
When her favorite coffee consumer gets attacked by dark magic, she takes him back to her home to heal him. It’s there that all hell breaks loose. The story from here on is basically like Tokyo Drift—fast and furious. I loved the world they live in, the magic within all the characters. I was hooked on the storyline. Fae, vampires, zombies? Give me more.
The romance moved quickly, and Opal absolutely developed feelings way too quickly. But alright, it’s magic. I’m down for it. I loved both of her love interests, and frankly, they both complement her in different ways. Now I’m just patiently waiting to see what the author does next.
