Queen B’s Decree: The Politician’s Wife is the third in the Tammy Pierre Mystery series but can be read as a standalone. Past events are referred to, but I never felt like I was missing too much.
The story is basically an intriguing political thriller with a whole lot of murder and I couldn’t help but feel the correlations to the current US political climate. The right wing underground political groups, the infiltration into the mainstream media…the similarities were very unnerving.
Tammy was like the heroine of a romance novel, she seemed to have so many love interests. It was an odd juxtaposition with the rest of the plot, and I felt thrown out of the story at times.
Overall, full of twists and turns with a complex plot!
