Kaden is a great grump. He’s so focused on hockey, and he suffers from anxiety, so he does what he can to protect himself and shuts out everyone but the game. Even his teammates. So after a few too many bad PR moves, he’s forced into a fake relationship with someone at his PR firm. Enter Valentina. Divorced and anti-men, fake dating should be easy—right?
The chemistry between the two is instant, and I love that both of them decide to work on themselves after developing feelings. It’s not that ‘love fixes everything,’ but more that ‘love makes me realize I’m a hot mess and I need therapy before I jump into a relationship.’ It’s so refreshing.
And…Kaden has multiple siblings. So methinks there are more books in this world soon to come!
