Monster of the Dagger Mountains by Meredith Hart

Queen B’s Decree: I was hooked on the Monster of Dagger Mountains.

There wasn’t a ton of world building—which is my preference—and the fast paced story just goes for it. Kira has been told she’s magical, but hasn’t discovered any yet, when she’s sent on a hunting party for Rezynk, the ‘Godkiller.’ And ope turns out he’s the man she had a magical night with at a remote hunting lodge.

I loved the connection between them; steam, spice, emotional connection. All is not as it seems, and both characters have flaws and make mistakes—but at the end of the day, both of them do all they can for the other. It’s pretty adorable, honestly, how such a scary man as Reznyk is actually such a simp for Kira. I mean, Rezynk has a cat. He’s basically my dream man.

I loved the side characters and I hope I get to see them all again. Can’t wait for the next in the series!
