Queen B’s Decree: Hero is a mix of rom com and deep, emotional read. It’s a weird dichotomy at times.
Lydia is a single mom widow who is the physical therapist for injured firefighter Colby, and it’s basically love at first sight for both of them. You’d think it would be easy peasy after that, but no, the hard part is just beginning.
As this is the first of a series, we meet A LOT of people. There are lots of nicknames, so I was absolutely lost at times. While I enjoyed the romance between Lydia and Colby, the antics and banter from his family overshadowed it sometimes.
My favorite characters were Lydia’s children, they were so adorable and loving!
Overall, Hero was an enjoyable read, I just wish there was a little less banter and jokes.
