Queen B’s Decree: Love Letters and Thirst Tonics was a cozy and lighthearted read. Newcomer grumpy vampire Redd immediately clashes with sunshiny vampire Fiella, but Redd is here to help with the random magical happenings in the town, partially by rebuilding Fi’s shop. So they have to work together and get along.
This book has one of my favorite tropes: penpals who don’t know they are penpals. So the closer Fiella and Redd grow ‘in real life,’ the more they start to feel conflicted about their feelings for the mysterious penpal.
Full of magical hijinks (and a mystery to solve!), some steam, and fun side characters, Love Letters and Thirst Tonics is a fun and easy read. The romance feels like it moves at warp speed towards the end, but it didn’t really detract from my enjoyment and I will absolutely be looking into book two!
