Queen B’s Decree: Misguided Vows is the fifth book in the Lethal Vows series, but can be read as a standalone. I hadn’t read the previous in the series, and while I feel like I want to get to know the other side characters more, I didn’t feel out of the loop.
Will is this…kind of bounty hunter, but for rich guys. And he’s definitely morally grey. He’s the epitome of the “was on the good side of the law until he saw how corrupt it was then changed his tune’ kind of character. And he has Alina in his sights. Sorry girl, you best change your name to Rockwell because somebody’s watching you.
I really liked Alina as a character. She’s straight up with Will, and once she starts getting the feelings, she does what is best for her. And really, I loved watching Will flounder and struggle. The man has way too much charm, it was about time he wasn’t in control.
Spicy and full of steam, with the stalker-y vibe I can’t get enough of, Misguided Vows was a super enjoyable read and now I need to revisit the previous in the series.
