Queen B’s Decree: This three-book audio book bundle was over 22 hours long (well, faster when you speed it up but still) and I couldn’t stop listening. I think a lot of that had to do with the male narrator, Jacob Morgan. He’s becoming one of my favorites for sure.
Reed is such an alpha hole. He’s used to getting what he wants when he wants and being used for his money or fame. And that’s why I liked Georgie so much. She freely admits that’s she’s attracted to him but she doesn’t let him treat her like she’s some dumb, naive gold digger. That being said, Georgie is 21 and she acts like it sometimes. But man, does she give Reed a run for his money; he’s so out of his element with her.
My quick reviews of each book in the trilogy:
- Bad Liar: I love Georgie’s spunk and that Reed just can’t seem to walk away from her. Their back and forth is sexual tension-filled ✨chef’s kiss✨
- Beautiful Liar: Forced proximity for the win and while they still are very ‘will they, won’t they,’ we get to learn about them both so much more and shows some real character development. The cliffhanger at the end is an ouchie (and slight trigger warning—Reed kisses another woman but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me).
- Beloved Liar: Reed gave some good grovel (thus why I could get over the kiss from book 2) but this one just felt like too much for me? Literally everything good that could happen did, it felt like sunshine and rainbows and everything fell into place a little too easily.
Overall, I was pretty obsessed with the series and I definitely want to read more from the author, Lauren Rowe.
