Queen B’s Decree: Bold is the continuation of Sierra and Aodhan’s story, the conclusion of the first book, Demure. At the end of the first, Sierra and Aodhan are separated, soon after Sierra turns from a human to a fae.
I loved Sierra’s progression. She doesn’t have Aodhan for the beginning of the story, so she has to learn how to survive the fae world on her own (with some friends, of course!). Her decisions may seem impulsive at times, but she’s just responding as best she knows how and learning as she goes.
Also, can I say I wish I had a bird companion like Sierra ? One that just would steal my snacks and be a little snarky in my head?
Bold has suspense, some steam, romance, grief, and humor. It really was a great ending to this fantasy duology and it left me wanting so much more. I’m so happy that Hope E. Davis is gonna return with a spinoff for Aislan! I love this world and can’t wait to visit it again.
