Queen B’s Decree: A Very Merry Mistake was like a dirty Hallmark movie. It’s a relatively light and fluffy holiday story, but filled with a lot more smut than I anticipated.
Claire grew on me as a character. At first…she was so stubborn, rude, and snobby and I wanted JJ to keep on driving. But by the end, I enjoyed her grand gesture and grew to enjoy her. But she can never beat out my love of JJ. He’s basically a cinnamon roll, lumberjack, cat dad. Um hello, yes please?
I alternated between listening and eye ball reading, and I think I liked the audio better. I just really loved Thomas Oakley’s accent and it helped me feel like I was really in Texas.
Overall, A Very Merry Mistake was a fun holiday read and I’m looking into book two!
