Queen B’s Decree: The Night Before Grumpmas was hilarious and light, it felt like the perfect winter read.
Jacob was SO grumpy, he even got mad at a candle’s scent. He really was the Grinch. You could tell that his grumpiness was hiding soft emotions inside, ones that he didn’t want to believe existed. And the banter he had with Noelle was so cute and funny, I loved their interactions (mostly with him yelling through their shared wall).
Noelle was so sunny, even after a bad break-up in her home town, she kept her holiday spirit and was still empathetic and sweet at her core. Of note, there was a minor third act break-up but oh man, Jacob grovels hard and makes up for it. G-R-O-V-E-L-4-E-V-A.
Overall, The Night Before Grumpmas was a perfect holiday read and I kind of already want to reread it again.
