Queen B’s Decree: I was so invested in The Little Things That Kill.
Nicole wakes up in a strange place…and eventually figures out that she’s dead. And she’s got 30 days to figure out how or why, but her memories of her last night are fuzzy.
I liked the alternate points-of-view, but what I liked most was how the characters felt so realistic. They acted like annoying, stubborn teenagers—thinking they know best. Nicole is so pushy and a bit entitled (especially for a ghost!)…but what teenager isn’t?
The descriptions of grief and mourning really hit my heart, I had to stop listening at times since I was on the edge of tears more than once. The story itself is so unique, I never expected to be so enthralled by unraveling the mystery.
The Little Things That Kill just really gave me so many feels and I couldn’t stop listening. What a great and powerful story.
