Queen B’s Decree: I’m all about a rebellion plot device. Secret underground rebellion fighting against an overreaching organization? Yes please. Into the Fire gave me some nostalgic vibes, similar to Divergent and Hunger Games.
Mel and Tommy definitely have some instalove going on, but I get it. They’re in the midst of this crazy, underground world—you gotta hold on to love whenever you can. Both characters will make you want to rip out your hair at times (martyrs!!! both of you!!) but somehow you can’t help but adore them. They match each other so well.
I liked the side characters and I think some of them could grow into besties (talking about you, Sam!). Lastly, I was hooked on the suspense and the mystery, and I can’t wait to see where this trilogy goes.
