Headed for Home by Harloe Rae

Queen B’s Decree: Harloe Rae’s small town RomComs are usually low stakes full of humor and banter. Headed for Home was no exception.

Drake and Cassidy shared a first kiss in middle school, but haven’t seen each other for over a decade. But when Drake bumps into her at a coffee shop, he’s immediately smitten and goes all out to win Cassidy’s heart.

At times the banter was too much for me—it felt like I was at a comedy show, and all I heard were one-liners and innuendo. It made their connection feel less genuine.

But…this is a fun and spicy romance novel and it sure delivered on that front. With fun cameos from previous side characters, Cassidy’s hilarious kids, and cute horses, Headed for Home was an enjoyable and entertaining read.
