Read. Reign. Repeat.

The Housemaid by Freida McFadden

Queen B’s Decree: We wanted a spooky-ish read for our next book club read, so it was finally time for me to read a Freida McFadden book. I’ve been recommended her by multiple people, I wish I had made time earlier to try.

I couldn’t put down The Housemaid. The first part is told through the point-of-view of Millie, desperate for a job, working as a live-in housemaid for Nina and Andrew. And Nina seems legitimately insane—telling lies, causing issues. But all is not as it is seen, and I could never have predicted what would happen.

A good mix of suspense, drama, and characterizations, The Housemaid certainly kept my interest. I loved getting a couple different points-of-view, it really enhanced my enjoyment. And now, I’m ready to start the next in the series!
