Read. Reign. Repeat.

The Useless Witch by Savannah Lee

Queen B’s Decree: I felt like this one flew by in a rush, I couldn’t stop reading.

Saoirse is the “useless” eldest daughter of the king and queen, a witch without light magic, relegated to working at a bakery in town. Long story short, she meets up with Vane, a darkwing—a being she had been told was a monster all her life. But to no one’s surprise, there was more to the story, so she agrees to help Vane search for an item to save his people.

Saoirse is an interesting character. She’s damaged, flawed, yet protective and loyal to her sister and mentor. I really felt for her, and I could totally understand her mental health struggles after meeting her parents.

Vane is the kind of MMC I can’t resist: he’s protective and sweet, but he’ll also burn the world down for Saoirse once they both finally let down their walls. Also…he’s a shadow daddy who turns into a dragon? Do I really need more to convince you??

That cliffhanger ending killed me and I can’t wait for the next.
