Rebel Heart by Brighton Walsh

Queen B’s Decree: Rebel Heart is the final book in the Starlight Cove series, the final sibling—Levi.

I’ve been slightly worried about this one. A second chance trope? With over a decade of separation? It gave me anxiety just thinking about it. But I shouldn’t have worried, Brighton knew how to make it okay for me. Am I still annoyed with Levi? They could have been together so much sooner if he just communicated! But my sweet Levi is so damaged, I can’t stay mad at him.

The steam, the dirty talk, the emotional connection, the supportive and funny side characters; this book really hit all checkboxes for me. I can’t resist a hero that pines for his heroine, even though he martyred himself and caused the separation anyway. But, despite my apprehensions about a second chance trope, I do really think that Harper needed that to grow as a character.

I was lucky enough to listen to this as an audio book and Zachary Johnson did the BEST job as Levi. His voice combined with Levi’s dirty talk really made me feel like I’ve got the vapors. Phew!

I’m sad to see this series go…but methinks Brighton has a new series in plan for us. Don’t think I didn’t notice those hints…with more brothers.

And now, it’s time to listen to the rest of the series, so I can relive them all over again.
