Queen B’s Decree: Say it Again is the story of a dance instructor, Daniel, and a high dollar escort, Aaron. I’d say there are some Pretty Woman vibes…but the rich one is the escort.
The banter between Daniel and Aaron is pretty adorable and funny. Daniel is a bit of a lovable hot mess, but he lives for dance rather than making rent on time. Aaron is nearly the opposite, where he’s hyperfocused on making bank. And he wants to spend it on spoiling Daniel. Also can I mention the steam? Whooooaaaa I need a drink of water.
There’s a bit of a miscommunication trope; they do work through it but there is a lot of back and forth. Say it Again really made me think-I know I’m not the kind of person that could date a sex worker. I really identified with Daniel in his struggle to accept it, and I was so proud of him for knowing his own limits and boundaries.
Overall, this was a cute, little RomCom that touched upon some much deeper issues than expected.
