Read. Reign. Repeat.

Eye of the Beholder by Emma Bamford

Queen B’s Decree: Eye of the Beholder is told from the point-of-view of Maddy, a ghost writer hired for a hush/hush project and staying in a remote mansion in Scotland.

As she researches her client, she finds facts and history that don’t line up. And when her client’s business partner abruptly comes and stays with her at the remote home, he seems like he’s Jekyll and Hyde at times. HMMM I WONDER WHY, MADDY.

But I couldn’t force myself to get through the slog. It felt like tidbits and hints kept trickling out, but not at a rate that would keep my interest. After about half way, I threw in the towel and DNF.
