Read. Reign. Repeat.

The Quiet Beyond the Well by CW Wren

Queen B’s Decree: This book…was really, really good.

Well-fleshed world building that doesn’t overwhelm you, with an Irish folklore feel, you feel immersed from page one. The prose flows from the page so lyrically, it’s almost like I’m hearing a verbal tale, passed down through generations.

But what really shines is the characters. Everyone is just a little bit grey but also protective, loyal, and at times—adoring. You really feel the full range of emotions while reading; from the levity of the witty banter, the deep emotions each character hides within them, the helpless rage from being unable to change fate, and the anxious thrill of feeling on the edge of your seat.

I’m truly in love with this book and I’m now struggling surviving after that cliffhanger ending. Bravo to CW Wren on a wonderful debut.
