Queen B’s Decree: Once Charmed, Twice Cursed is pretty low stakes fantasy, with an interesting twist I hadn’t seen before.
Bria has been blessed with good luck, so everyone tries to use her to improve their fortunes and even her own family sees her as an instrument, not as a person. But the one person she wants is the opposite of her—he’s cursed with bad luck. And touching basically means they cancel each other out and all of their luck would fizzle away.
I loved Bria. She wanted Weston and wasn’t afraid to show it. She breaks down Weston’s walls and shows her own vulnerabilities. Their romance was forbidden, but it didn’t feel too angsty.
A quick and entertaining read, I couldn’t put it down.
