Ice, Love, & Other Penalties by Claudia Burgoa

Queen B’s Decree: Ice, Love, & Other Penalties had the classic Claudia Burgoa level of angst. But, as always, she addresses it head on and everyone eventually goes to therapy and learns to communicate.

Ty was the star here. He deals with his insecurities and dysfunctional family history, and he doesn’t let Indie push him away. Their relationship has that hint of forbidden, but the banter from their text messages really gives life to the characters and explains them both so well.

Indie is exceptionally stubborn, but Ty doesn’t give up and she finally begins to lean on her family and friends and accept help and love. Their chemistry was there from the beginning, but I’m glad this was more of a slow burn, I enjoyed the wait.

Another winner from one of my favorites.
