Paging Dr. Hart by Melissa Dymond

Queen B’s Decree: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: medical inaccuracies are my biggest pet peeve. Even worse than a misspelled homonym! So a book written by a medical professional is something I will never be able to resist.

Tiffany has worked her way out of poverty and is a radiology resident who is forced into working with a new transfer first year resident, Ethan. Ethan is this weird mix of arrogant and cocky, while also being an adoring golden retriever. But say what you will about Ethan, from the first moment he meets Tiffany, he is obsessed with her and willing to win her over.

I loved getting Tiffany’s backstory, it really explained why she was so skittish and hesitant to being in a relationship with Ethan. I can definitely relate to wanting to move past a tragic history and focusing on the future, but Tiffany acted like it was so much more scandalous than it seemed. The suspense aspect of the story…didn’t work for me. It felt like it was jumping the shark and didn’t fit the vibe of the rest of the book.

Overall, I was a little perplexed by the end of the story and I wish it had been more about Tiffany and Ethan alone.
