Calling Your Bluff by Kate Campfield

Queen B’s Decree: Calling Your Bluff was a pretty light and cute read with a bit of a slow burn.

Becca is struggling after failing a class in medical school, so she revisits her roots as a camp counselor to help get her juju back. Her counterpart is Miller, a professional poker player looking for more out of life and helping out an old friend for the summer. Miller is immediately smitten but Becca takes some time warming up to him.

Their back and forth banter was pretty entertaining. Miller was kind of a Golden Retriever, always there with puppy dog eyes to win Becca’s heart. Miller was my favorite character, I loved the depths he showed as we got to know him better.

Overall, Calling Your Bluff was a fun and quick read for the summer.
