Queen B’s Decree: More Than Promises is the first book in a new small town series and it really leaves you wanting more of the Kendrick brothers.
Rowan is in Magnolia Creek dealing with a surprising inheritance…where he needs a wife. Enter Molly: the woman he can’t stop thinking about since their kiss (in a public library—could it be ANY more perfect?). The banter between them was top tier and I really couldn’t stop smiling every time Rowan would say or think MY WIFE.
SWOON.
But More Than Promises isn’t just sweetness and light, it deals with grief, insecurity, and the sometimes overwhelming futility of life. It definitely felt real.
Overall, More Than Promises was a great start to a new series and I’ll be keeping my eye out for more.
