Queen B’s Decree: I can’t resist a Lynn Painter rom com. The way she uses “moron” or “dipshit” as affectionate terms of endearment just works for me.
I loved so much of the banter in Happily Never After. Whether it was between Sophie and Max, or between her elderly roommates (LARRY FOREVER), I felt like I was smiling throughout most of my listening experience. Helen Laser (as Sophie) and Sean Patrick Hopkins (as Max) just fit their characters so well, I was transported to Omaha and was right there with them.
A great mix of humor, banter, sexual chemistry, and emotional relationship growth, Happily Never After was a fun read that I couldn’t stop listening to.
