Queen B’s Decree: The Engagement Party has a bit of a “And Then There Were None” vibe, with all the characters trapped on a remote island. I really liked that we had a few different points of view, and that I really never knew who to trust.
A bunch of old college friends are reuniting for the engagement party of one of them…but some of them are hiding a secret about events that occurred on their graduation weekend. As events happen, and bodies are found, the truth starts to trickle out—depending upon who is narrating. Frankly, most of the people seem terrible and I was only rooting for Sierra to survive; she was the only one with any survival instincts and common sense!
Good pacing and story kept me intrigued, The Engagement Party was an enjoyable read that I couldn’t put down.
