Queen B’s Decree: The Battle of Evermore definitely had a Lords of the Rings vibe, where our MMC Thomas goes on an epic quest.
I liked the storyline and all the different magical creatures we encounter. The pacing of the story was good, and it kept me interested. Each of the characters had a very distinct voice (despite the third-person POV) and I liked all the different side characters. Plus I can’t resist a romance.
But I did have some issues with the grammar and syntax. The dialogue often felt stilted, and it felt like I was being told versus shown.
Despite that, The Battle of Evermore was still an intriguing story that sucked me in and kept me hooked. Thank you to the author for the gifted copy!
