Queen B’s Decree: Fancy Meeting You Here was a light and cute Rom Com. Elise is a florist, struggling to keep her studio alive, while simultaneously providing flowers for her three best friends weddings (all in the same time frame). Elise was a little bit complicated; as if she struggled with knowing her own self-worth.
Elise and Ben have a funny meet-cute, where he thinks she’s a wedding crasher. And as they are maid of honor and best man in their respective best friends’ wedding, forced proximity is the trope of the hour. Their bickering and banter are pretty fun and entertaining, and I actually think their relationship progression felt real. Start with some attraction and lust, add in some slow friendship, and you end up with a comfortable, genuine relationship.
Overall, Fancy Meeting You Here was a fun and easy read, without any major angsty plot lines.
