Queen B’s Decree: Go as a River was filled with beautiful, but overly flowery language and prose. And honestly, I was hooked at the beginning. As primarily a romance reader, I was so invested in the love story of Victoria and Wilson.
And I’m sorry, this is a spoiler, but Go as a River is S.A.D. I felt so deflated and let down after a super tragic event. I know this book markets itself as a story of survival and the mysteries of love, but I can tell you there is no mystery. Just sadness.
I did enjoy the progression of the story, and how Victoria adapted to the changes that life threw at her. But wow, I need a fluffy romance to make feel better after this.
