Queen B’s Decree: You’ve Got Mail is my favorite RomCom movie of all time. So it’s no surprise that I love books with the same theme.
Meant For Me hooked me from the start. Enid inherits both a broken down house and bookstore from the grandmother she never knew, but is surprised to find out someone was in the process of buying the store: Huxley. And in true You’ve Got Mail fashion, they become instant enemies. Until Huxley starts to realize that his anonymous online friend and Enid are one and the same, and like the Tom Hanks he is, he does everything he can to fix their mess.
Meant For Me was cute and light. There was no doubt of their chemistry, and their barbs soon turned to witty and flirty banter. But it wasn’t all happiness and fluff, Enid learns some uncomfortable truths about her family, and Huxley is a perfectly supportive friend and partner.
This may be my favorite of the series and I’m looking forward to the next!
