Queen B’s Decree: Wrong Place Wrong Time starts off with a bang, with Jen a spectator as she watches her son murder a man. But after she goes to sleep she wakes up in the past, and continues further and further back in history until she solves the mystery of the murder.
I was hooked from page one. Jen dealing and accepting her life as Bill Murray in Groundhog Day was smooth; she reacted way better than I would have. And each time she wakes up further in the past, she gets another clue. I loved the discovery of the mystery. I felt like I was figuring it out with Jen.
But what I loved the most was Jen looking deeper into herself and how she has treated her son and husband. How she second guesses her decisions as a mom and wife; it felt so relatable. I loved that while Wrong Place Wrong Time was mostly about the mystery, but the concept of saving her family was the forefront.
My first from Gillian McAllister but not my last.
