Queen B’s Decree: Dr. Perfect, aka Zach, is the next of the Cove brothers. His family has nicknamed him Dr. Perfect…even though he feels the opposite of perfect. He’s moving into private practice a few days a week, and Ellie is the temp worker sent to be his new receptionist.
The thing about Zach…is that he hates being a doctor. He wants to write cozy mysteries, but hasn’t told anyone, least of all his receptionist. Things happen and long story short, he’s decamped to a distant Scottish cottage, and Ellie gets stuck there with him during a storm.
I had a hard time believing in their initial relationship. Zach barely showed any interest or care towards Ellie the entire time he’d known her. And despite her physical attraction to Zach, she seemed to dislike his personality. But you all know what happens with FORCED PROXIMITY!
Once their relationship begins, I loved getting to know them both better. We dive into Ellie’s insecurity after an emotional abusive relationship, and Zach’s fear of letting his family down. There is a third act break-up, but I feel like it was integral to their relationship growth and progression. Overall, Dr. Perfect was a nice addition to the series, and I’m definitely looking forward to more.
