Read. Reign. Repeat.

Never Saw You Coming by S.L. Scott

Queen B’s Decree: I received a surprise package that included a special edition of Never Saw You Coming, so I couldn’t wait and had to immediately read it.

Never Saw You Coming had one of my favorite tropes: instalove. Loch meets Tuesday at a coffee shop and they don’t really have a meet cute; they’re both in bad moods, having a bad day. But Loch sees her get mugged and attacked and jumps to help. And queue the amnesia! Look, I’m a healthcare provider. I know that amnesia is rare—except in romance novels—but I don’t care, as long as you write it well.

Loch’s and Tuesday’s relationship moves quickly, but Tuesday has lost everything; it makes sense that this traumatic event would bond them together. I loved their progression and how supportive they were of each other.

The mystery of her past life is solved with some predictable moments, and it felt a little easier than expected. But overall, Never Saw You Coming was an enjoyable and sweet read!
