Queen B’s Decree: Wish was surprisingly angsty. Almost too angsty for me.
Wes and Max grew up so close, and their connection has been clear since they were children. But when Wes’ (and his brother Win, Max’s best friend) parents die when he’s a teenager, Max is made his guardian and that messes with his head. Max then takes overprotective to the max (I kid, I kid!) and throws off some mixed signals.
They felt fated, but Max was his own worst enemy. I just wanted to shake him! But once they got together, their spicy scenes were super hot. The suspense in Wish was quick and thrilling, and I didn’t expect all the twists and turns.
I mostly loved seeing the previous couples and how easy they added Wes into their squad. I’m looking forward to more from this series—especially Win’s story!
