The older I get, the faster time goes by. My final read count was a little more than last year, but pretty similar overall. Another year of minimal rereads, although a couple favorites could be found!
This year I narrowed down my choices a little differently. I picked the best read of each month—although I wasn’t able to pick a favorite even after doing a bracket. Here are Queen B’s top twelve reads for the year:
- Love & Other Disasters by Anita Kelly – a queer story featuring a non-binary character that gave me all the feels
- Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston – I can’t believe I waited so long to read this one!
- Omega’s Obsession by Sarah Blue – my obsession with Sarah begins…
- A Sign for Home by Blair Fell – this isn’t even a romance and I still loved it so much
- Only When It’s Us by Chloe Liese – a twist on a grumpy/sunshine trope that I couldn’t resist
- Ensnared by Tiffany Roberts – frankly it’s the entire trilogy I adored
- Wet by Cambria Hebert – reminded me why I loved Cambria in the first place
- A Merry Little Meet Cute by Sierra Simone and Julie Murphy – Bee was an amazing character
- Tentacles & Triathlons by Ashley Bennett – and my interest in tentacles grows…
- Charming Your Dad by Sarah Blue – my obsession continues
- Too Tempting by Sarah Blue – Biased? Meh, don’t care.
- A Soul to Heal by Opal Reyne – are you catching on to my theme of monsters?
I had intended to read a fantasy book this year…and didn’t get there. But oh well, there’a always next year, right?
