Queen B’s Decree: Ruthless Reign went in a way I never could have expected. I found myself hooked after the first couple chapter.
Oliver is a recently fired actor, who has been hired as a replacement for Prince Roman, for reasons we never really get told of. Princess Lucille has been married to Roman for five years, and she soon realizes that something has happened to Roman, learning of Oliver’s identity.
I felt for Lucille. She’s stuck in an abusive marriage, filled with unhappiness…until Oliver comes along. While they are both stuck “playing a part,” their relationship grows. It’s probably a bit of trauma bonding, but honestly, Lucille deserves any happiness she can get. Oliver and Lucille are so sweet and protective of each other, I can’t handle it.
But just once I think I’ve caught up with all the intrigue…another twist is thrown at us and I’m spinning. Ruthless Reign caught my attention and now I’m at a loss until the next book releases.
