Queen B’s Decree: You know, the blurb of Brutal Intentions warns you that the MMC Law is married…to the FMC’s mother. So I knew going into this “Queen B, this is gonna have cheating; what are you going to do about this?”
Love it, of course.
Somehow Lilith Vincent is able to take my most hated plot device, cheating, and turn it into a romance. Laz has been forced into a marriage by his brothers, and he’s angry at the world. He begins by taking it out on Mia, his new wife’s daughter. Mia is in her last year of high school and is just trying to keep her head down until she can escape her negligent and verbally abusive family.
Somehow…these two just fit together? Both misfits trying to find a way in the mafia world they’ve been born into. Brutal Intentions definitely had a bit of an instalove feel, but their chemistry was spicy and wild. It was a quick read overall, but ultimately satisfying.
