Queen B’s Decree: I love anything Erin Nicholas writes, and Gotta Be Bayou is no exception.
Spencer starts off on the wrong foot with his “girlfriend list,” but it was easy to see that he had that list for the wrong reasons. And I love that we get to delve into his mind; I love that Gotta Be Bayou doesn’t just coast on the surface emotions, we go deep and dive.
Both Spencer and Maxine were great characters. Their chemistry and compatibility was evident, and I loved how they both were willing to compromise and let down their emotional walls.
The mystery was the weakest part of the story, but all I want is great characterization and devotion, so I’m happy with everything.
Gotta Be Bayou was sweet, hot, and gave me all the feels.
