Queen B’s Decree: I had anxiously awaiting the completion of the Grim & Beast Duet since I binge read Tales You Win. So I started it the minute it popped into my kindle.
But, as sad as it is to admit, I got a little bored. Grim and Beast have been separated since the cliffhanger ending, but Heads You Lose starts with present day, with Beast coming back to Kate/Grim. Kate honestly seemed a little unreasonable; Beast more than paid for his error, and it felt like he just kept apologizing and he lost some of his alpha-male-ness.
Their connection was still hot and steamy, and I did enjoy the spiciness. The cameos of the other characters became a bit much for me, as it became a little overwhelming for me. At the end of the day, Heads You Lose missed the mark.
Sad day for Queen B.
