Queen B’s Decree: I loved that the heroine in Always Hiding was a beta, not an omega. It felt different to most of the other omegaverse series I’ve read. And after I struggled with book #2s heroine, it was a relief to have a heroine I enjoyed and reminded me why I enjoy this series.
I enjoyed the interactions between Maddie and her alphas. It felt genuine and I appreciated that not all of the alphas were onboard initially—I liked having the friendship grow slowly over time. The political storyline also worked really well, and it made Always Hiding stand out for me as a favorite of the series.
Maddie was a great heroine. She’s got her emotional baggage but she wasn’t afraid to put herself out there. Her alphas were good too, but not as much as a highlight for me.
Overall, I felt like Always Hiding was a great ending to the series, although I still have some questions about their omegaverse world and I hope we get more!
