Queen B’s Decree: I’ve been meaning to read this duet for a “Real” long time (lol, I make me chuckle) so I decided to finally just do it. And I started Real Dirty…and immediately read Real Sexy thereafter. In one day.
The Real Dirty Duet was just fun to read. Boone is a country music star going through a very public breakup when he first meets Ripley, and they don’t exactly get along initially. So they have some sexy back and forth until Ripley’s life kind of implodes. But I love that she isn’t some damsel in distress even though Boone wants to be her white knight.
Is the plot a little ridiculous? Perhaps. Is there a bit of an instalove feel? A smidge. Do I care? N.A.H.
Meghan March always sucks me in. The combination of sexy and sweet, of action and surprise, and of vulnerability and strength. I definitely need to go back and find more of her backlog I’m missing.
