Queen B’s Decree: B For Beretta was not my normal read. It’s about voodoo magic, and revenge, and societal issues like ‘Black Lives Matter.’
First off, I read this as a paperback and the formatting and print form was SOOO impressive. The art style, how the chapters were organized—I loved it all.
The story itself was interesting. I’m not one to believe in magic, but the inclusive of voodoo matched the mood of the rest of the story. It felt a little chaotic, with new characters introduced frequently, but somehow everyone was connected in this crazy world. The storyline was intense and engaging, and much of it felt too real to be fiction.
B For Beretta was a mystery that definitely made me think and days later, it’s still fresh in my mind. Thank you to the author for a gifted copy!
