Queen B’s Decree: Whooooa…Pageant was a wild ride. Kon is the leader of this section of the Russian mafia, and he has decided he wants a wife. So he, Kirill, and Elyah kidnap 16 different women who then have to go through “challenges.”
One of the kidnapped women is Lilia and she is one of the most badass heroines we have ever met. She was once married to a Russian mafia man and has history with Elyah. She was so strong, protective, and smart. She is all about survival but I love that she cares for the other kidnapped women—not just about herself. Additionally, the dialogue between her and the three men is fantastic—she takes everything they give her and reclaims it.
Pageant is dark but in typical Lilith Vincent way, you end up caring for the crazy (and possibly evil?) heroes. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering how this relationship could be fixed, but even the cliffhanger can’t stop me from obsessing over this.
I’m 100% on board and I can’t wait to see how the series concludes.
