Read. Reign. Repeat.

Right Number, Wrong Girl by Emma Hart

Queen B’s Decree: Right Number, Wrong Girl was a light and entertaining read.

Sophie’s best friend works as an event planner and Sophie has to step in when Camilla has to leave for a family emergency. Long story short: she ends up pretending to be Camilla due to a miscommunication, except the Duke’s son, Hugo, knows who she really is.

Sophie and Hugo have some “enemies-to-lovers” banter, although it’s less enemies and more annoyances. They were cute together and I enjoyed watching them slowly fall in love together, while totally denying it.

I really loved the communication that happened at the end—how everyone is sincere and open. Also Evelyn was such a wonderful side character. I’d read about her all day.

Overall, Right Number, Wrong Girl was an enjoyable read, but it wasn’t memorable to me. Sophie was a hard character to relate to, and the story felt a little long. Was also missing some steam, as it was a little too “fade-to-black” for me.
