Read. Reign. Repeat.

Go Hex Yourself by Jessica Clare

Queen B’s Decree: I really enjoyed Go Hex Yourself at the beginning. I like the concept of witches and warlocks living in the mortal world in plain sight. And the grumpy/sunshine trope with Ben and Reggie really worked.

But Reggie was a hard heroine to like. She was a little what Queen J and I like to call TSTL: too stupid to live. She was definitely in need of some therapy. Ben was a bit tortured and angsty but he was also sensitive, protective, and a gentleman. So, you can clearly see I had a favorite.

By the time I finished Go Hex Yourself, I wasn’t very satisfied with everything, so I rushed to Goodreads to see if I was the only one. To my surprise, everyone and their mom was calling this a Reylo fan fiction. Consequently, I don’t know what that is except that it’s a part of Star Wars, and therefore, something I will never understand.

Thus, Go Hex Yourself might be more for the Reylo fanfic crowd than it was for me. Overall a cute story, but it was missing something.
