Faking The Game by Claudia Burgoa

Queen B’s Decree: I love a “fake relationship” trope. In Faking The Game, Aslan Spearman has been lying to his mother to avoid her matchmaking by claiming he’s already in a relationship. It’s not a problem until there’s an unavoidable family reunion and his “girlfriend’s” presence is requested.

Keaton is a VP at his company and they’ve been working closely together for a while and have formed a sort of friendship—although Keaton keeps her secrets well. Their chemistry is electric yet they both are afraid to face their feelings.

I enjoyed their chemistry and banter, and I loved how they came together at the end to support each other. My only wish was for some groveling. Keaton’s sister was rude and mean, and Keaton didn’t deserve that.

Faking The Game was a great introduction to a new series and it was fun to see our favorite Spearman cousins.
